Architectural gold! Xintiandi is not your typical mall as these stonegate houses used to be the site for the communist party of China. #Fact

Kind of like... Central in Hong Kong? Complete with little alleys, chic hole-in-the-wall restaurants and bars, beautiful architecture etc etc

Xintiandi’s narrow alleys are dotted with reconstructed shikumen houses, which are now occupied by various posh establishments. Spend a quiet afternoon at one of the sidestreet cafes; or, wine and dine the night away at any of the classy restaurants around. It’s also the perfect place to get a feel of old Shanghai, but with the comforts of urban living!

An area filled with Korean cosmetics, and other local retail shops. Best to go at night for the street food. The grilled haloumi cheese was my favorite. I would've eaten much more if I weren't already full. 😩 I'll definitely come back for this one!

Casa Tesoro is located in A. Mabini St. in Ermita, Manila. It is a stately home built in 1901, and is said to be one of the oldest Art Deco buildings in the district. They also have an art studio for rent if you want to grab inspiration from the Manila/Malate area!
