Makati City is a city in Philippines, with around 510.4 thousand inhabitants. Lemi has 108 lists with places in Makati City.
Staying in hotels reminds me of Cinderella. Check in time is usually 3PM: You will be treated like a VIP, a made up room to your liking, amenities that you are looking forward to try, food that will make you guilty as hell BUT when the clock strikes 12PM on your next day, you have to say goodbye to that kind of life cause it’s the standard check out time. This is a list of hotels in the Philippines that I support and I recommend for your momentary Cinderella experience. 💎
My family gets together over lunch or dinner almost every weekend! Here are our favorite spots in the Metro for a meal. Table for 10 please! 🍽👵🏼🧓🏼👨🏻👩🏻👦🏻🧒🏻👧🏻👱🏼♀️
Savory, sinful, and sizzling—that’s how we like our sisig!
When you work as hard, a dinner out is a perfect treat!
There’s no arguing that the marriage of breakfast and lunch has by far been the most successful. Gone are the days where bacon and waffle are only acceptable until 10 am. Most importantly, considering the blazing heat in the tropics, how exciting is it to catch up with your besties over mimosas and mojitos? I don’t know with you but brunch is always a good idea and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! I’ve rounded up the best brunch spots in Makati you should definitely try.
Absinthe’s mystique lies in its complexity—not only pertaining to how its distinct botanical flavors perplex the palate, but also to its elegant and almost ritualistic preparation that traditionally requires ornate and valuable paraphernalia. Not to mention it holds an infamous reputation and a history of being banned. Absinthe is commonly prepared by placing a jigger of the spirit in a glass, and then dripping water on to a sugar cube sat on an absinthe spoon perched on the rim of the glass. A green fairy will not emerge, but myriad flavors and aromas will. It's not easy to find absinthe in Metro Manila. Luckily, it's starting to gain popularity especially with the market's growing inclination towards the elusive and uncanny.
The one where I remember all the places I’ve watched concerts in. A backstory: When I started working in publishing, the first beat I ever covered was music. I’ve since had the pleasure of watching (and sometimes also interviewing) some of the biggest names in music throughout my writing career. I also ended up traveling to watch some of my favorite artists in concert—something I still do on occasion. Thank you for the music! 🎶
Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo! Glam up in the masterful hands of Manila's glam fairies.
I love going to Legazpi Sunday Market! They have some of the best hole-in-the-wall, authentic, and local food 😋 I've tried most of the stalls, and while I keep aiming to taste something new every time I drop by, here are some of the places I can't seem to stop coming back to 😅
It's an adventure being with me. You never know what you're getting every morning. A true Aquarius they say. People close to me know that I start my day drinking coffee - black, as usual. Coffee sure sets my mood. Listed below are coffee places where you can spot me every morning:
After countless burritos, tacos, and nachos, here are my favorite Mexican joints in the Metro!
Ask anyone where they hang on Fridays after work and the obvious answer is Poblacion. Known originally as the Red Light District of Makati — branded as the new Malate, Poblacion has evolved through the years and has now become the go to place of everyone for dinner and drinks. Parking is bad, like really bad, but the charm of the district is that its joints are only walking distance from each other — so no more bringing of cars and do bar hopping instead! I’ve rounded up my absolute favourites in the Pobla district! Disclaimer: endless list
Can you keep a secret? You better, because we're letting you in on a few hidden bars!
It’s a wonderful time to get into OPM (Original Pilipino Music). Talent is fresh and profesh! The different genres covered are as diverse as the performance spaces. These are a few I’ve tried and liked. Hopefully I can add soon so tune in and check back from time to time!
Most of these places require a reservation, so I’d call ahead regardless. If you’re planning on celebrating on a weekend or a holiday, then best to call we’ll in advance.
I believe that watching concerts and stage plays are a way to relieve stress and to gain happiness and fulfillment as well 😊✨
Sharing my perpetual love for fried chicken through this list.

Lemi show you some quality food and super affordable Kanto (corner) ramen houses around my hometown Cavite.
Here are some places around the metro where you can have a music break with cold beer and great people. 🎵🍺
Tattoos and piercings do not only entail self-expression. Body modification has been around for centuries, originating from tribes. It’s the tribalistic nature that cultivates a new contemporary niche. The new tribe brings together people with body modifications, often discernible when a modified person instantly feels a slight connection with another. Wanna be part of the tribe? Check these places out and get your very own mark.
“Where will we eat?” @erikaalcantara @reneeangelaa @jalcantara @mrs_lippie? This is a list of our go-to places when we want to spend quality family time and gain weight. 😅
Gone are the days when a writer’s room is envisioned as the space where the curtains are blocking the sun’s rays. To be one with the world is to write beyond the Self. Here are the nooks that I found where writing can be done within the historical city of Manila.

One sunny afternoon, three little girls went traipsing through Manila like tourists in their own city. We pounded pavement... you'll see how ridiculously far we made it. These ElBi legs were made for walking!

Being a quintessential Filipino snack, packs of banana chips are available almost everywhere in the Philippines. What separates Banana Chief's Giant Banana Chips from other commercial brands is the banana that they use—their chips are made from the saba (giant bananas) variety, taken care of by partner farmers from the rich lands of Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte. Banana Chief's Giant Banana Chips is also a healthier alternative to other brands because it’s cooked in coconut oil and has less sugar while maintaining its crisp and classic taste.

Another one of my favorite nail salons. Not only are their technicians awesome, they’re also open until late and offer gel manicure and pedicure with foot spa at the best price. (Everything for PHP1,300, about USD25!) I love it even more because my favorite Nuat Thai branch is also right next door, so more pampering for me!

A 5-minute walk from my house. Best hidden ramen house in town in my opinion. Very authentic. Cost is very affordable with big servings. Hip ambiance. Child-friendly. One of the best places in Cavite to dine and chill with your friends, officemates, and relatives!

With a mission to serve clean and healthy food, most of Earth Kitchen’s ingredients are sourced from indigenous communities, small farmers, and fishermen around the Philippines. They make sure that these ingredients are also free from genetically modified organisms (GMOs), chemicals, synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. For something savory, try their Mushroom soup and Milanese with Ifugao rice. For something sweet, their Goat Cheese and Pastilles ice cream is our pick!
