One of the most memorable scenes that set the 2005 film apart is of Keira Knightley looking out onto the world from the edge of a rocky cliff. The wild wind whips her hair around while dramatic music plays in. Stanage Edge is popular among rock climbers and hikers at all levels of experience. The highest points look out to the sprawling moors of Derbyshire, so take a few photos in the spot where Elizabeth stood when she was doing some soul-searching of her own. Be careful, though, the drop is pretty high and the winds are strong—the Austen men should be the only ones sweeping you off your feet!

Another park worth noting is Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, though this one’s less for running around and more for the getting to know animals. Beautiful flora blossom in the middle of this city sanctuary, making a lush home for the fauna that calls these gardens home. The enclosures here hold species not encountered in everyday urban life, giving little ones a taste of the larger world beyond the city. Elegant flamingos, social meerkats, and motionless sloths are just some of the curious creatures you’ll encounter!

Start your morning with a stroll through Hong Kong Park, and watch its aviary come to life with the birds’ colorful plumes and delightful birdsongs. Wander the canopy pathway with your little tyke in tow before heading to the playground! Classic equipment gives the new generation a similar experience as you would have gotten when you were growing up. After the kiddos run up the stairs, they can slide down by the yellow tube that runs along the railing. Let your children run freely—Hong Kong Park’s playground is padded with safety mats, so you can rest easy.
