Saint Dunstan in the East Church Garden

Wishlisted 2 months ago

The church of St. Dunstan was bombed in the Blitz of 1941, and after the decision was not made to rebuild the church, the ruins were turned into a beautiful public garden ๐ŸŒฟ Bonus, for any Lord of the Rings fans out there, the garden looks like a scene straight out the movies! ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem

Wishlisted a month ago

The โ€œoldestโ€ pub in England. Apparently, the landlord boards go back to 1760 but there's a cave inside which dates back to 1070. There's also a wooden galleon on display. Don't touch it though! It's rumoured to be cursed. ๐Ÿ’€

Old Ferry Boat Pub

Wishlisted a month ago

Another pub that claims to be the โ€œoldestโ€ pub in England. This one has been dated back to 1050 A.D. but legend has it that it's 500 years older. Also, if anyone's interested, they have a ghost! The pub was built upon the grave of young girl called Juliet. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

River Thames

Wishlisted

Would come here to hopefully catch some swan-upping! It's an annual ceremony in England wherein they census the swans on the Thames & other places. The reason for this is because the Queen enjoys ownership of all unmarked swans in open water.
