Great place for foodies. Don’t sit at a restaurant just wander the stalls snacking :)

Borough Market is the city’s oldest food bazaar, having served the Southwark community for over 1,000 years. Housed in a Victorian-style warehouse, this London institution is a gourmet paradise where quality meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, and rare spices are available. It’s primarily a wholesale establishment, but feel free to try the range of taste testers up for grabs. Drop by early, ideally on a Friday or Saturday, to get first dibs on the best products!

Start your day in Luang Prabang at the Morning Market and join locals doing their daily shopping! Even before the sun rises, merchants start laying out colorful spreads of everything from wild mushrooms to freshwater fish on the covered ground. There’s plenty to see (and eat!) while you wind through the alleyways and narrow side streets branching out from the Main Road (Sisavangvong Road). Munch to your heart’s content on the various ready-to-eat snacks made fresh and on-the-spot!

Said to be the city’s largest weekly market, Winterfeldplatz Market has a little bit of everything. Here, you’ll find artisanal cheese, fresh cut flowers, quirky bags, one-of-a-kind kitchen tools, and more! It’s open every Wednesday and Saturday, but the area’s relaxed atmosphere is best experienced during the weekend. Rub elbows with regular locals and tourists as you try to get first dibs on a great find!
