Memory by Matt Mayer
This museum is one of the iconic modern buildings of Qatar, designed by architect I.M. Pei it juts out into the sea, and there are great views across the bay. The permanent collection showcases Islamic art and artifacts from Egypt, India, Syria, Iran and more. Everything is very well presented with English captions and the whole museum is air conditioned, quiet and impressively free. There’s a nice courtyard to the right on the main entrance with open air views.
