Go to Leche to try unique ice cream concoctions based on popular Filipino desserts and other weird flavors! We tried about six flavors, and these are my favorites: 1. Bilo-Bilo - Bilo-Bilo are sticky rice balls, a popular ingredient in “ginataan” or sweet coconut milk soup. Leche’s Bilo-Bilo ice cream features ube ice cream topped with coconut, sweet potato and banana chips, and—of course—bilo-bilo. My favorite! 2. Champorado + Tuyo - Champorado is a sweet chocolate rice porridge from the PH. Leche’s ice cream version is a scoop of dark chocolate ice cream topped with dried fish. Don’t ask me how it works. It just does. 3. Cocomangsi - Coconut + Mango + Calamansi. Three of the most popular Filipino flavors coming together in one scoop of coconut ice cream topped with dried mango, calamansi, and rice crispies. Yum! Bonus: Kape + Yosi (Coffee + Cigarettes) - Coffee ice cream flavored with Cherrywood chips so it has a weird cigarette after-taste. An experience.

Take the family on a trip back in time at The Ice Cream Bar Soda Fountain! The 1950’s-style diner evokes nostalgia through vintage signage and antique fixtures. Watch bowtie-wearing soda jerks whip up ice cream cones, floats, and milkshakes for the whole lot. They also serve sandwiches, in case you’re up for a savory snack!

When Bangkok’s heat becomes too much to handle, find solace in Hazel’s Ice Cream Parlour. The shop is popular for its boozy concoctions, but there are also non-alcoholic options for the purists. They have teamed up with organic producer Farm to Table to create their own line of flavors such as Absinthe Cream, Bourbon Vanilla, and Rum Raisin. You may try it per scoop, but I suggest you indulge in a full-on sundae!
