Locavore is known for its modern take on Filipino cuisine, making use of locally grown and produced ingredients in every single dish they prepare.
Probably one of their most popular entrées is the Sizzling Sinigang, which features an unusual spin on the classic Filipino sour soup. Served on a sizzling plate, it consists of beef short ribs, sauteed french beans, sampaloc gravy (tamarind gravy, instead of the traditional broth), and garlic confit. They also have great appetizers, including a Filipino Street Food Platter and Singkamas (turnips), Mangga (mango), and Bagoong (fermented shrimp paste).
It’s best to reserve a table beforehand as the restaurant gets packed, especially during lunch and dinner time.
