San Diego, United States • Wishlist •

The building was designed by American architect Louis Kahn. The building houses spacious laboratories. Founder Jonas Salk directed Kahn to create a welcoming and inspiring environment. As a result, he designed spacious rooms with ample natural light. There are two underground floors but this has not stopped Kahn from giving these spaces some daylight. He created light wells from both sides of the building to give the lower floors daylight.
