The one where I keep track of our favorite places!

On our first trip to Osaka, we couldn’t miss out on trying conveyor belt sushi for the first time. We probably polished off 10 plates each! The sushi was fresh, well worth the price. (We expected for it to be more expensive!) I’d probably try another restaurant when we go back, but this place is a pretty good start if you’re Japan noobs like we were!

Goto (a rice porridge dish similar to congee) is one of my favorite comfort foods! We always go here when we’re in the area. Quietly tucked away in a residential area, it’s hard to go to; but not a bad detour if you’re already near!

One of the most raved-about ramen restaurants in Manila, Mendokoro recently opened this branch in Bonifacio Global City. It’s notorious for their long lines, but we were immediately seated when we went at around 10:00PM. We ordered the Super Chasu (the chasu was so tender, it fell apart every time we picked it up with our chopsticks!) and Gyoza as recommended by @pam. I must say, it lived up to the hype! I want to go back to try their other bowls. 🍜

We celebrated @caldefool’s birthday with a simple lunch for him and his family in this restaurant. All of us haven’t tried it before, but it’s pretty decent. It’s hard to mess up tempura in my opinion! We ordered the Shogun Set (5 pieces of black tiger prawn tempura), Wagyuni (wagyu and uni sushi), and a few more dishes I wasn’t able to try. I wouldn’t think of it as a go-to spot, but somewhere I’d be willing to try out again. 📷 Asakusa: Home of Tempura/Instagram

Our dessert for @caldefool’s birthday celebration! Scout’s Honor levels up its cookie counter into a full service restaurant in Vertis North. We didn’t try their savory meals, but ordered a loooot of cookies—and everything is just so good! I love the 1 Bite 2 Bite deal (10 mini cookies to share with everyone) paired with their Bottomless Cup Batch Brew Coffee! 📷 via Scouts Honor/Instagram

One of our friends opened this bar a couple of years ago, but it was the first time @caldefool and I paid a visit. We had a chill Sunday night, welcoming back one of his friends from SFO who hasn’t been back in 12 years! I’d definitely go back.
