I can proudly say that Singapore will always be my second home. I spent six great years here and this list will tell you all about it.

I’ve visited Sentosa numerous times but it never fails to amaze me. It’s a given that you should visit this place when you visit Singapore but to get a brief history about it’s culture, you should visit The Merlion.

Magnificent street arts, vibrant culture and wide array of international dishes. This is what I would describe Haji Lane in Kampong Glam, Singapore. Prepare your camera and wallet as you’ll spot beautiful boutiques, Instagram worthy walls, and restaurants. I was still a student when I visited this so most of them were quite pricey for me. Luckily, my friend and I spot a hawker centre that served us delicious mee goreng and roti prata that saved us from splurging.

After a bit of rain in the morning, I love walking around in different areas around the quainter parts of the city. I find town too commercialised, but there are such nice little spots cropping up all over, as the “sea turtles” (people who study abroad and bring ideas back) make their way home. The slower relaxed ambience of retirees and quiet helps me take a deep breath and relax. That sense of peace that washes over me is intoxicating and I need more days like that. Happiness.
