I posted about this on another list (Meet me for Breakfast) but it deserves its own place here too! Great eggs on toast. Super local =) owned and run by the same family as Australian Milk Company (I think his brother runs that one)

For famous hk style scrambled eggs on toast, with some famous hk style milk tea, and equally very local (and not the best for non-locals) macaroni in chicken broth. The guy who started it is the brother of the Australian Dairy Milk Company (you’ll see him around, tall lanky guy). I prefer it here because it’s cleaner, isn’t as crowded, and the seats are actually a bit wider and more comfortable. Lines on weekends tho! The scrambled eggs are pretty good.

Lok Yuen does French toast with an unconventional twist. Their sweet buttered toast is served with fresh beef marinated in homemade satay sauce. It’s such a huge hit that they came up with other bizarre yet mouthwatering flavors! Their recent offerings include the nostalgia-inducing Ovaltine-flavored French Toast, which hits just the right amount of flavorful and smooth without being too sweet.

Late night snacks, early morning breakfast. Will do in a pinch when craving egg and spam sandwiches or a good hk milk tea. Or noodles. Or rice. Or anything from its extensive menu. Big franchise, decent food. Questionable hygiene. Opens till 4am, and I believe opens again in early morn.

Of Wai Kee Noodle Cafe's expansive menu, my no-fail binge is a big bowl of their Beef Noodle Soup. The springy noodles, flavorful broth, and tender slices of meat all work together like magic. If you're extra hungry, fit in a slice of Kaya French Toast and Milk Tea, too! Expect large crowds on the weekends, but their fast service might get you a seat if you’re willing to wait. Point at what you want or show a picture, as no English menus are available.
