This is where my love for ramen began, it’s also the place where I tried ramen for the first time! Way to set my standards real high, huh? I love all things spicy so my go-to has to be the Tantanmen (which isn’t on their menu). Their really good non-spicy ramen is the ukokkei shoyu, shio, shio butter corn, and miso chashu. 🍜
I’d be more than willing to travel all the way from Quezon City to Alabang just to have a meal here. Yes, yes, their ramen is the bomb dot com. But another dish that’s sooooo worth the extra room in your tummy is their chashu pork, chashu rice, and gyoza. You will thank me later.
ROKC (ramen, oysters, kitchen, cocktails) has phenomenal food, charming decor, and out of this world cocktails. They open at 5, don’t take reservations, and always have a wait if you can’t show up early, but honestly, it’s the only place I find a wait worth it!
