Everyone raves about Dinner by Heston at the Mandarin Oriental, but why sit at an uptight, formal dining room when you could be relaxing with a pint in a bar? Alright alright, The Hind's Head isn't really *that* casual, but it's Heston's food in a cozy gastropub setting. The building is charming with its exposed beams and there is a roaring fire. They have a great selection of beers AND you wouldn't feel like a div for ordering one. And naturally, Heston's quails' scotch eggs are brilliant - both technical and flavour wise. Triple cooked chips a winner with their mushroom ketchup. Pea and ham soup the best tasting green liquid you'd come across. They're a little out of the way in Bray, but they're not too far from the notorious - I mean famed - Bicester Village designer outlet.
