Meet me for Dinner!

Hong Kong

If you wanna go out for dinner with me, here’s where I’m always happy to meet and revisit. I’m driven by good food and reasonable value. I don’t care too much about ambience.

Mostaccioli Brothers

Of the picture above! Yummy pasta. Not as good as it used to be but still pretty satisfying 😋. Italian. Not cheap.

The Night Market

I like their fried pork cutlet and their minced meat on rice. Most things here are quite yummy, and right next to the airport express in Elements! Super convenient to meet people needing to catch a train.

Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao (Gateway Arcade)

Just yummy. Love their dan dan mian and Xiao Long Bao! Or noodles with chicken broth. Shanghainese comfort food at its best.

Definitely amongst my absolute favourites in terms of Chinese food for dinner. Expensive, but good for a celebratory occasion!

I kinda love the Peking Duck here at Sheraton’s Chinese restaurant. Granted it’s not fancy but it hits the spot for me. Valet parking is technically available, but unless you’re a familiar big tipper, or very early, or very lucky, good luck finding parking! Better to cab or subway than drive!!

—- UPDATE —- Tried it, was good Beijing style duck (served 3 ways - skin only with sugar, skin and meat, and only meat.) Skin so crispy. Loved it. They used a hairdryer to blow between the skin and the meat to make the skin especially crispy! Second course of duck wrapped in lettuce was too gingery for my taste, won’t be ordering that again! Didn’t bother with third course soup. Convenient to park, right next to train stations too! Beef with ladyfingers was good as well (HK$300+ for a small portion 😱), vegetables were good, and red bean dessert was yummy. Everything was expensive, but in comparison the Peking Duck wasn’t (under HK$500 for a whole duck). Ambience was super casual. Final verdict: Will return but only for the duck! Total bill: almost 2k for 2 pax... (hehehe whoops, thanks for the treat babe) —- original post —- We need to eat here because apparently the duck is amazing. I’m so drooling now and it’s 2.47am!!! I need instant gratificationnnn... I checked the prices. It’s HK$828 for the 3 courses of one duck! First comes the actual Peking duck, second the minced duck in lettuce, third a duck soup! Mmm 😋 who will eat this with me? LOOKING FOR FRIENDSSSS
