Considered one of the best egg tarts in Hong Kong (and certainly one of my favourites), air stewardesses used to buy egg tarts from here before they boarded flights traveling all over the world, to take these delicious morsels to friends and family residing elsewhere. The egg tarts are still delicious, but the new airport was built more than half an hour away by car, and it has become too inconvenient for the habit to survive. Still, this modest little hole in the wall shop (that literally has no space inside for you to stand and browse) serves these delicious morsels hot off the tray quite a number of times a day. There’s still a queue sometimes, and you’ll be able to choose from 3 types of egg tarts. The cookie crust egg tart, the flaky egg tart, or the Portugese. I love them all, but my favourite is the flaky egg tart! Butter butter butter 😍
