When you want to try unique Ang Ku Kuehs, visit Poh Cheu Soon Kueh at 127 Bukit Merah Lane 1. There are 12 flavors to choose from, including durian, green tea, mango, and even coffee! The best thing about their Ang Ku Kueh here is it has a more delicate texture than most kuehs; plus, it has yummy homemade filling inside.

Expect a long queue of Nonya Kueh aficionados when you drop by the Tiong Bahru Galicier Pastry Bakery. Since the 1970s, this store has been selling a variety of tasty Nonya specialties using decade-old recipes. Take a bite of Onde Onde made from sticky rice coated with freshly grated coconut or sample Kueh Kosui, another yummy kueh that has a soft, bouncy texture and a strong scent of pandan. Trust that it’s good when locals love their products because it’s always served fresh and rich in flavor.

M Bakery is one of the bests Dessert shop I have ever known. Banana pudding is my ever favorite. Everytime I ate steak or ramen, their store is always my next destination 😋

Usually sweeter is better when it comes to desserts, but you might personally like muted flavor for a light and airy palate cleanser. If that sounds like you, then Galicier Pastry’s Pandan Cake is for you. They use less sweeteners in their recipe, but the hint of pandan is still there for a guilt-free slice.
