One of the nicer PURE Yoga locations on the island. There’s a huge “chill out” lounge that’s great for resting or getting some work done between yoga classes. The entrance to the ladies changing room (not sure about the men’s) has a lovely zen feel to it and the changing room itself is modern and clean. Yoga studios are beautiful and spacious. Come during off-peak hours and you’ll be in for a treat. Must book your classes in advance though. Highly recommend this location.

I’ve been to Barry's in New York so I had to check out Barry's in Singapore to see the difference between the two. The class itself was easier to follow than NYC Barry's as the instructor took time to explain each floor work. The floor work exercises are less complicated which is great for first timers as well as regulars to really focus on the workout itself rather than looking at your workout neighbors in class. There is also a brief induction conducted by the instructor before the first timers enter the class, which Barry's in the States does not have. If you are a first timer, I highly recommend for you to check out Barry's Singapore first to have a good first timer experience at the studio. Overall experience: I had an awesome experience throughout, the vibes definitely remind me of Barry's in New York (check out my USA studio hopping adventures list for more info). A lot of expats compared to the other studios in Singapore. One of my favorite features about Barry's is their smoothie bar. Highly recommend getting the peanut butter and jelly smoothie (my favorite flavor so far!). Like any other Barry's, you can write your order down before class and pick it up after class. Class Structure: HIIT with the goal to increase lean body mass. Each day will focus on a different muscle group such as Monday Arms & Abs, Tuesday Full Body (lower focus), Wednesday Chest, Back & Abs, Thursday Abs & Ass, Friday Total Body, Saturday Full Body (Upper Focus), Sunday Total Body Original classes combine 25 minutes of cardiovascular work on the treadmill with 25 minutes of strength training on the floor. When you book the class through their website, you can choose F (start on the floor), T (start on the treadmill), DF (double floor- it would be 50 minutes of floor work and you would just stay at that spot)

CruCycle AND CruBox Singapore has both CruCycle and CruBox. CruCycle is on the first floor and CruBox is on the fourth floor. CruCycle is an extension of CruBox, a boxing studio originated from LA. Both studios did a great job of branding- down to the slangs (such as wolf pack, pack leader, it really creates the sense of community), aesthetics, and merch. Overall, it is a well run studio. I will probably go back to take more classes whenever I’m in Singapore. The studio is dog friendly and is roaming with dogs all the time. Definitely a perk to get greeted by cute dogs before and after class. 1) CruCyle Overall Experience: My first timer experience was great. The studio assigns the locker numbers to each client with the spin shoes inside the locker, which gives the studio an opportunity to connect with the customers more by dropping a cute note like "welcome to CruCycle"- I loved this touch! Class Structure: Rhythmic cycling focused on cardio and endurance. There is only one class level but the intensity varies with different instructors. The bikes have a resistance knob as well as a lever with 3 levers, which is different than the other bikes I've been on. The class is less focused on the production side- no flashy strobe lights and more on the class itself. It was super intense with pretty tough choreography. I was always soaked with sweat coming out from the session. Highly recommend for spin lovers! 2) CruBox Overall Experience: Loved the vibes of the studio (especially "My Milkshake brings all the boys to the yard" neon sign). A really awesome experience overall from the front desk and the class itself. Class Structure: High intensity, heavy bag work, shadowboxing, strength conditioning and core work. Approximately 10 rounds. 1 round per song. The first song starts off with a dynamic warmup followed by a round of shadow boxing. Two songs are focused on floor work- either body weight exercises or with dumbbells. Most of the rounds are focused on boxing with gloves on with really fun combos (rhythmic).
