—- note: my husband says it’s not good anymore... (Dec 2019)
I first came here with Cavi! One of the many times we were just uncovering new places in Niseko. Anyhow, food here is solid. Really good. Ingredients are local, fresh, and well done. That said, it’s owned and created by Shouya Grigg, a British guy... and prices are reflective of that. Not to say it is unaffordable, but certainly more expensive than most places around. Though, if those prices were for places as good as this in Hong Kong, I’d become a regular! If you can, try their Ezo Deer 🦌 Gnocchi. But really everything here is fabulous. The manager, Shizuka, is also a Hokkaido local who speaks good English and will take really good care of you.
Carbone is an Italian-American restaurant that originated from the Big Apple, serving must-try dishes on its menu from cured meats to pasta. If you’re up for a perfectly executed version of the classic New York cheesecake, the Carbone’s Lemon Cheesecake is a must-try!
Best Italian in Hong Kong but extremely expensive because the owner's brother sends over fresh ingredients from Italy every day. Don't expect 5 star service or decorations. The food is the only thing that matters here. The owner and chef Alexandre takes his food very seriously and expects customers to respect his food too. Recommendations: literally everything on the menu
Address has changed so please check before going. It is now in Wan Chai.
