D'Cream's "Golden Sun" Milk Tea with a shot of espresso brings back so many great memories from my college days in UST: taking a walk in Lovers' Lane with my friends, jogging around the field and getting D'Cream after to defeat the purpose of cardio, and maximizing the 15-minute beak between 3-hour classes brisk walking to D'Cream and back to the BGPOP building among others.
There are no end of instagrammable cafes with mediocre food, but featherstone combined a hip vintage style with some very tasty and unusual dishes. For example I wouldn't have thought to combine mashed potato and crispy chicken skin but it works. While the menus include a long description about feathers and crystals and mysticism it doesn't get in the way of the good food and service. There's also a shop with interesting homewares, hats and jewellery.
